I was fortunate to not watch a single episode, but have been bombarded by the lamentable "winner" Leon and the bl00dy awful tune that he has released - what were they thinking.

Slipknot have one good song, which has been acknowledged by Guitar Hero 3. Hours of fun. (well, singular, as I got bored after an hour of it)

As for banned songs, I agree on the Shite Wipes new song, it's awful. And all the bands that sounds exactly the same but are all billed to be "original" - Pigeon Detectives, Scouting for Girls, The Wombats etc. All utter tripe.

Wasn't it on a bit earlier when John Peel was around? I definitely remembered hearing some of it anyway; it was great and not just because of Mary Ann-Hobbs (though she added a very sexy voice to the proceedings and was pretty good at the show too.. why doesn't she do it any more?)
