From our Have Your Say section:
An Anonymous Poster wrote:Chris, why do you take it upon yourself to bully Aled when he makes a mistake? I find this to be a very childish trait.

when people get on your nerves why don't you do your team and me a favour and you leave the studio instead of sending Aled out of the studio? Have you ever thought of becoming a teacher? Every morning I put Radio One on just so that you get on my bloody nerves.

I like you really, but you just bug me when you shout at Aled. when you feel like doing so just slap yourself very hard around your big gob xxxx
[edited heavily to correct atrocious spelling and grammar - if this were written you get the idea that it'd be in crayon]

It used to bug me the way he "bullied" Rachel and Aled and pretty much everyone else on the show - now I get it that its a joke and it is clearly a joke that they are all in on. Aled is not the tea boy, he is a BBC producer and if he were upset at his treatment he has recourse, which I believe he would use. But thats not whats going on here. Its a soap opera, its not real.

I think you should have left the spelling mistakes in for us all to laugh at.

I think it's quite clear that this is all just part of Moyles' Shtick. It nearly always end with a little comic comment and is so over the top it couldn't possibly be for real...................... or maybe it's just me??

Also why on earth would you turn the radio on just for it to get on your nerves? If you don't like don't listen. I think it's hilarious when he rips into Aled, or anyone else for that matter! Maybe I'm just a bully at heart......... :D

"every morning I put on R1 just so you get on my bloody nerves" ... well, there really is only one answer, and that is the "off" switch. If you don't get R1 humour, simply don't tune in, or appear on message boards. This reminds me of a poster on the R1 message boards, who starts almost non-stop threads about Edith, which people have LONG grown tired of, yet consistently tunes in every day of every week?

i agree, Chris knows it's a team effort and needs his team around him to make the show what it is.

the only thing i don't like it when he does it to people who phone in, unless they've been briefed before going on ?!??

I agree with Yudster, it's a joke and Aled is in on it. Chris doesn't do what Chris Evans used to do and "dress down" his team on air, it's done in good spirit and taken as such. This guy/girl needs to get in on the joke and loosen up a bit. It's comedy not bullying!
