I have, in the past, attempted to take away the e-mails informing if you have got a new message (topic reply notif.), or not.... however, despite clicking on the appropriate button, it seems, once started, these e-mail messages won't stop!!

Which appropriate button did you press, the one in your profile which says 'Always notify me of replies' or the one at the bottom of the threads which says 'Stop watching this topic'?

always one with the smart remarks, console!! The one in the profile is the one I pressed, and the e-mails kept on coming in anyhow, so I put it back (which seemed pointless anyhow).... I hate technology.

Try turning it off and on again. Have you tried kicking it?

There prob is if you have clicked the button that says "Watch this topic". I aint done it myself, but i'd imagine that it would change.

oh!! the button's at the bottom of the screen!! but what's that got to do with non-stop e-mails!! I had 91 e-mails this morning... no joke, I'll tell ya.

What's actually in the emails you are receiving, would be the first question - that, at least, will give some indication as to what type of notification is turned on, which seems to be the main source of confusion.

Sometimes I find topic reply notif. to be useful, as I know if anyones replied to something I've posted. Sometimes though I can get emails for threads that I posted in 6 pages ago or something and the topic of conversation has completly moved on. 91 messages is a heck of a lot also!
