Surprisingly reticent, "held-back", unrevealing man, with a quiet sense of humour, who appeared difficult to draw. I guess, like Chris, I would have liked the "explosive" Gene Hunt to have walked in, booting down doors and shouting "Get the b****** playlist off"! Philip G. was researched well by Moyles, and boy, did he need it!

Will be sorry to see "Life on Mars" come to a close (next Tuesday), because it was good to see an in-depth, excellent drama amid the endless cycle of reality TV crap.

Fact fans! It would seem the lovely, scrummy, John Simm will soon be in Dr. Who as an arch enemy of the doc!! Can't wait!!!

That whole impersonation of Hunt by Chris reminded me of those weird songs Chris was singing to Jo Whiley the other week. Good interview.

If there is indeed a spin-off from "life on mars" in the future, if Gene Hunt is ill, Moyles could certainly step in nicely.

It was a good enough interview, but I would like to had a clearer impression of Mr Glenister that's all....

I really wanted him to start putting the world to rights, I think Moyles did a brilliant job - as good as he could have done - of trying to transport the team to the 70s would have been great if Philip joined in, hes very capable as he proved when he slagged off TV bosses. I think hes an intelligent bloke knows the industry well but that wasn't the nature of the show, well done to Chris on the acting, wooden leg an all, and needs a parrot lol, perhaps Rachel could squawk a bit.

I thought parts of today's interview were embarrassing - or more accurately during the pub quiz when Chris insisted on talking in the Gene Hunt voice for most of it. It would be ok if he would have said a couple of things in it and then left it at that but most of the time it was just cringeworthy especially as he never dropped it. Chris was clearly a big fan of the show - and there is nothing wrong with that but it's a double edged sword - as for some parts his knowledge made a great interview but then there were aforementioned parts that made it rrrrubish. Having said that if Philip Glenister didn't have a problem then maybe I shouldn't...
