OK we're pretty bored already of so-called 'journalists' having a pop at the big fella...

the latest one is on page 17 of today's Metro. The free rag's Mark Harris writes an article about devices to transmit music from your Ipod so that it can be picked up via your radio (illegal until recently).

"Would you rather wake to your music than daft chatter and the same rubbish tunes repeated over and over?" the article asks, then goes on to say "Now's your chance to gice Radio 1's Chris Moyles the digital sack with these FM Gadgets...."

Is this another attempt at publicity, which will then be laughed off by the offending fool as a 'joke'? Me thinks so.

Please Chris, DONT mention this on the show, it'll only give this idiot the coverage he blatantly wants.

I don't think that it's really a pop at Chris Moyles himself, more a general swipe at radio stations and their DJ's. For Chris Moyles, read "generic DJ", it just seems to me that he is probably the most popular DJ in the country, hence used as an example......... plus he's usually on the radio when most people wake up.

I read the article this morning whilst Mrs Ballbag drove the ballbag wagon into work, and it didn't occur to me that it was another "publicity seeker". Rather a journalist highlighting the fact that you can now listen to what you want first thing as opposed to whoever's on the radio at the time. It's a bit harsh to label him an idiot Mr Ed.

But that's just my opinion.

It was in the Evening Herald last week that Chris Moyles once did a number two in the school playground and covered it up with a large stone but the dinner lady found out when the Hankerchief he used with the CM monogram was found nearby, that's why the send only Colin and Edith for the School shows now, as they had complaints, as you would expect !

"Dirty Boy, Filthy, not what you would expect from a Chubby DJ" Mrs Fortesque the dinner lady was quoted as saying.

Maybe harsh yes. Probably attention-seeking is more accurate. Maybe he heard about the journo from Norwich, and that Quizmania woman, and thought he'd try and get a mention himself.

and on another note...

I've been using one of those for time, to either listen to what I want in the car or the bath. As for the legalities, since its range is about 1 metre, the chance of either causing interference or anyone actually being able to catch someone using it is so ridiculously close to zero it was never worth worrying about.

They have a go because Chris Moyles maintains the persona of the archetypal obnoxious git. But it may be that in private life he's not so nice.
