The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I'm suprised that a topic of this nature hasn't been started. I thought that as Chris and the Team regularly check this forum...I have an Idea of this topic being just a page to leave messages regarding the 3rd anniversary of Moyles being on Breakfast. (Even though it was officially Friday, the show doesn't start back until tomorrow....so it's just as good)

Thanks for three years of awesome Breakfast Radio....I hope you can do atleast another three years! AND.....THANK YOU FOR BRINGING BACK CPC!!!!

Why did I think it was four years they had done? Ah well. Time flies when you're enjoying yourself. Or the opposite.

Zoe Ball was better than Sara Cox by miles. That isn't difficult though.

Let's face it, Chris Evans was better than Sara Cox... again, not difficult..

I like Sara Cox too, but prefer Moyles on Breakfast.

Coxy left the drive time shift to have her bambino.

When is she going to return to her rightful place and oust Scott Bilge back to wherever he came from.

Sara Cox is dreadful and typifies the obsession with getting 'celebrities' to present radio shows. Her act wore thin after about 3 minutes and it's no wonder breakfast listeners were leaving in droves. Mayo, Wright and Evans were all excellent breakfast presenters and I think Moyles stands up there with them. I do wonder though given his appearance on the Swap Shop tribute show, if the BBC are perhaps priming him for a return to television. Let's just hope if they do, they avoid a repeat of the car crash that was Channel Five's offering.

I was going to write a thread about it, but didn't have time. Yeah, three years goes rather quick!

Sara's OK, but she does tend to drivel on quite a lot, usually about Lola (or however her daughter's name is spelt). I really wouldn't be surprised if her producer spends most of the show with her head in her hands while Sara prattles on, oblivious to the world around her.

I still hold the girlie show against that awful woman. Prattling on just about covers it actually. I couldn't give a flying toss about her domestic life with her baby. If I wanted that I'd listen to Woman's Hour on Radio 4!!!

But you like Chris Moyles going on about his life ?

Not sure why there should be a difference.

Any anyway I like Sarah Cox, she is funny, and nice, and has a self deprocating style that I find endearing in a so say Star, sure she ain't no Moyles, but then who is, I like her better that Edith and the other thing on After Chris, Nihal was ok too, they are all though better than Plymouth Sound and South Hams Radio, which is why I listen to Radio one.

And you get to here the view and Same Jeans, which frankly I love, and think someone clever should do a parody, replacing the words jeans for pants, ow the hilarious references to skid marks, and betty swallocks would be awesome.!

I must have an inbuilt prejudice about people from Bolton. I can't put my finger on why I detest the minutiae of Coxy's life but like Chris' ramblings - possibly because Sara Cox sounds like a 12 year old in an adult's body (but my, what a body)? Chris obviously is a childish adult, which makes all the difference. If you understand that distinction, then you deserve an award.

Meh it ain't the fact she's from Bolton, Mark Radcliffe is a Bolton lad and I see him as a radio legend (same way I will see Moyles when he departs Radio 1). However I can't stand Vernoff Kay either, BUT I think he does play good music.

Ah yes, I miss Mark and Lard in the afternoons. I miss most of the old lineup. I miss Moyles' drivetime, I miss the old Saturday show. I don't miss early mornings as there's no way in hell I'd get up that early. Simon Mayo anyone? Dead or alive alive-o!

Ignore me, I'm just an old fart :D

Indeed - we've always called South Hams Radio - 'Sheep Dip Radio' - which has always made me smile!

I always thought nothing would ever top Chris Evans on the breakfast show in his early days, but then he became so self important, had his head so far up his own arse - which was his downfall. But I was gutted when he was booted, and couldn't listen to Zoe Ball or Sara Cox (although I think Coxy is great now), so I departed and listened to Wogan for a couple of years. When Moyles started I immediately got into him and now think he surpasses anyone, ever - I just hope it doesn't go to his head like it did with Evans - but I've got a feeling that Moyles is a much much nicer person 'in real life' than Evans was, so I doubt it will happen.

Great 3 years - congratulations and keep it up! :D
