Is their freindship detrimental to the show, if for example DV was not producing the goods, would CM tell him and vice versa. I just feel the show has become cosy and gone stale, relying on the unfunny team members to fill in the gaps. The Little chris etc smacks of unorigonality, its like 6 year olds distorting their voices for fun. Someone will argue that the increase in viewing figures cannot be wrong, but rememebr these are new listeners who dont know how good the show used to be.

How long have you been listening then? I do agree even the massive personality of CM can only go so far. He still has his moments though. The show isn't as jam-packed with stuff in the last half hour as it used to be, apart from that though I still think its doing ok. I'm the new wave of listener on this site, I started the CM experience in 2004.

I have been thinking this last few weeks how much BETTER Dave has been sounding. Since he confirmed his divorce in fact. I agree that they need to be aware of getting too comfy, and shake things up a bit sometimes - but I don't think there is any suggestion that Dave is not delivering. If anyone is poor it is Carrie - she is often bland, and sometimes - like this morning - downright poor. I know she had a late night last night, but so did they all - if she can't have a heavy one and then do her job properly, she should go home earlier. She was embarrasing today, even Dom was annoyed I thought.

SHe is always bad.... but today I agree, she has been worse than normal. She's got such delusions of grandour.... the sooner she buggers off the 5 live the better.

As an avid listener of Chris Moyles since 1997 (when still on Capital FM) I still think he is great, not as good as he used to be in the afternoons on radio 1 as the show is less random & more professional than it used to be. (Paragraph edited as it made no sense )

What I also used to like in the afternoons is how Producers Rhys & Will would be so more relaxed and laugh along with the gag, any checks that were required to be made where done off air & where only mention if Chris asked if it was ok for them to do a feature.

I agree, Dave has always appeared to me to be offended very easily, and things like him not wanting people to know his surname historically always seemed a bit high filooting stuff, but recently I have to say he sound like a man who is enjoying his oats at present

I think Dave has been sounding better recently. He has stopped saying "i think its a grower" all the time and he actually sounds like hes having a laugh on the show again. I reckon if those two had a problem they would sort it out in the pub like any mates would. They are a two man team and best of mates so if one or the other wound the other up i think they would sort it out over a pint and be cool by the next show. Dont think there's any resentment building up between them i think the pair of them are doing great.

I absolutely agree and think Dave has definitely been back on top for the past few weeks. I also think that Carrie is crap, her voice irritates me. Thought Chris' story about Chris Moyles Avenue was so funny...the truth always comes out when ur drunk so I'm guessin it was all true...
