Better late than never but here's a story taken from The Daily Record on Dave's divorce.

MARRIAGE SPLITTING DJ'S SIDES

LOUDMOUTH Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles announced his sidekick Comedy Dave's divorce on air yesterday.

Then he taunted Dave Vitty about his heartache in the live breakfast-time show.

Dave revealed that he had been separated from his wife for more than a year but kept it secret in public to give them a chance to work things out.

But Moyles said: "We had loads of ideas for new games based on your divorce but you banned them all and it probably cost us another Sony award.

"We could have had 'Date Dave' or 'Date Dave's ex' but your selfish attitude has held us back."

The rest of the breakfast team repeatedly asked Dave whether they could now date his ex-wife.

He replied: "It isn't my business any more. The divorce came through a couple of days ago.

"I was in a dark place but I'm happy now."

I really hate how newspapers twist things, I mean yeah, the team did so and say all of that on air, but if you hadn't heard the audio itself, and just read the above, you'd think it was the nostiest thing ever. It was obviously all in jest.

You've just got to laugh really, just shows how pathetic our media is.

Isn't that pretty much word for word what chris said the papers would say?.
