Congrats. Whilst were on the subject what u all think of the fact the government want you all to learn at 16 and take your test at 17 so that way you are a better driver. IMO they need to stop the wallys after their test.

i think they should do nationally what is done around here (or you have the option to do rather):

At 16, there is a company who own part of Greenham Air Base (old military site, has europes longest runway) and they take you out in a Micra or similar car, and teach you clutch control, cornering, braking, reversing and so on, the basics really - but it means you require fewer lessons, and are more at ease in a car when it comes to being 17.

pearsonally i think 18 should be the minimum age for driving

I passed my test when there wasnt a theory test - the guy just asked you the following question:

"you are travelling down the road at 30 mph when you see Uri Geller, Tara, and Christina Hamilton, with Keith Chegwin carrying their shopping. Which one do you run down, and assuming you hit them at 45 mph, what is your overall stopping distance?"

id run down Christine Hamilton. What i would do is Women are allowed to take test at 20 and Men at 25 years old. I know it would be vastly unpopular but it would cut down on all the boy racers in their souped up vauxhall novas

my next door neighbour thinks the sun shines out of my arse, (i think its coz he and his wife have no kids, and have known me since i was born) and is selling his car next year - i told him i was interested, and my mum thinks he'll probably give me the car for free (it wint happen, as ill make sure i pay him something).

My dad says he'll insure it, and have me legally allowed to drive it, making the insurance cheaper - if this happens ill probably die by panicking and slamming on the accelerator, and going like shit off a stcik into a lorry or something.

I used to have a vauxhall nova. It wasn't very souped up though, and i wouldn't class myself as a boy racer. I had to sell it when I went to uni.

for those of you taking your driving test for the first time, when you get to the end there's three likely scenarios, from which, if you listen carefully, can determine if you've passed or not before the examier finishes what they're saying [just incase you're unsure, and didnt knock anyone over or anything, yet similarly werent too confident]

You might not build up a no claims by doing that. I'm not an expert, but this is what I've heard.
