Where is the other board, how do you get into it and where did the members only section go (Miscellaneous)?

Since you have to register to post there was no real point in having a section only viewable to registered members.

Chris, stephen is a regular (well, certainly was when he was Weeman). Could he not be given access to regulars?

I've had problems with the java-based irc client too - I accepted the autorisation certificate but the applet didn't seem to load correctly.

Thing is, with the Webchat Java applet you shouldn't need certification as the code should be accessed via Webchat's servers in the first place (via the codebase attribute). - jc

And I intend to become a regular once more now that I have more time etc.

but stephens a man utd fan...

anyhow, if you go to the irc.webmaster.com or whatever site, you can load a java based chat room and then join #radio1. this works for people who maybe can't use mirc due to firewalls or work.

hope this helps.

if you're having trouble with the applet on this site and you dont want to download mirc you can try an edited version of the applet I use for my chat room on my site, but edited so it goes to the chat room on this site. It may not work if your already having problems but it's worth ago,

Ok, it's actually not too bad although it can be a little confusing if you're not too sure what you're doing:

Open mIRC and you should get an options box popping up (if not FILE > OPTIONS)

Make sure connect is selected in the menu on the left hand side, and then enter the following details:

IRC network - select WEBNET

Choose webnet:random server in teh box below if it isn't the default

Enter your full names in the boxes provided, and the nick you wish to use within IRC in the boxes.

Click OK

On the top left (under the file menu) is a button with lightning on it - click this to connect to the server. A load of stuff scrolls up the screen, and a box appears with a list of channels in it. Close the box, and then in the bottom of the screen type /join #radio1 and hit return and you should be in.

Hope that helps
