The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Bit of an odd post I know.

I was listening to some old cassettes from the first year on Breakfast yesterday, and the shows were superb. So much better than I remember. Stuff like the fire alarm going off on air, Reverse-a-Word, Car park Catchphrase (at its best), King Of Tickets, Juliette doing the sport, Euro 2004, Dom phoning Hawaii, Chris picking obscure Buzz Off tracks that everyone hated..

That first year deserved the Sony, not the second.

Yeah, I tend to agree. If there is a show I like a lot then I usually grab it off real player and save for future listening (not the greatest quality I know, but still better than nothing) and it speaks volumes that I have loads of 2004 shows but hardly any by comparison in 2005. By coincidence I was listening to the fire alarm show the other day on my laptop...

I was just talking about the 2004 good old days on another thread, I got well accustomed to car park catchphrase and buzz off. Good stuff.

The problem with Moyles nowadays IMO, is that he appears to be settling down a bit. He used to always have a tale or two about his previous nights exploits down the pub, a place which he now seems to frequent less and less. He gave the impression that he never used to care about money, but now it appears to be an ever increasing factor in his life. He frequently comments, 'i'm rich', or words to that effect, something which he would never have said several years ago. His book writing, television appearances and speculation about him signing up with ITV etc are all affecting his show. It seems to be more, 'Moyles' related nowadays, which is fair enough as it's his show, but the whole bloody team are at it aswell. They seem to think they can make or break people in the music industry nowadays, Chico today as an example. I mean really, who the * gives a toss about Dave or Rachels opinion about whether a record is good? My granny could judge a records potential better than them, and don't even get me started about Aled, the foremost authority on everything and anything. With the exception of Dom I think this team has had its day.
